Feingold to Voters: I'm Unelectable
OOOPS! Sorry, what Russ really said was he's supports gay marriage, which to the vast majority of voters does make him unelectable, or at least not in their top 100 or so candidates. Rumor has it after the announcement Ralph Nader said he'd decided against Russ as a running mate in 2008, calling him a drag on his ticket.
It will however allow him to gain a lot of cash from one of the many special interest groups under the democratic party's ever expanding umbrella.
The umbrella, by the way, is threatening to tear, as they try to expand it to make room for the 11 million illegal aliens Russ and his party would like naturalized by the next election. The party's new motto is going to be "We can't win with the voters we have, so we'll import more!"

His silly anti-national security stunt in pushing for censure action against the president for using technology to spy on terrorists ended his presidential chances.
He may be popular on Daily Kos and DU but in a general election his extremism equals unelectability.
Great post! I loved how you worded this :-).
