Who to Believe

So, who do I believe, this guy, or this group?

It's all about money. As long as you keep it thrust forward into the public eye with as much hoopla as possible money will pour in. Truth left the scene along time ago.
Remember global freezing of the 70's.
Remember the population bomb of the 60's.
Just another fad that wont die.

If you're writing a grant proposal for the NSF include the keywords "global warming". If you're not writing a proposal for the NSF don't worry about it.

Me, I'm starting a new panic called "global darkening". This theory says that the balance between night and day is changing because the earth's seasonal tilt is no longer stable. Like global warming it's junk science(and there's not a hell of a lot you could do about it anyway) but if I can get enough grant money I'll look into who we should blame.

Ablur, I always laugh about the fact that the temp has gone up less than a quarter degree since 1979 when I was assured by my science teachers that we were close to the next ice age.

Mark, blame it on big oil and the power industry, they seem to be good scapegoats for everything else.

With "scientists" like these we will soon need an inpenetrable wall between lab and state. They have turned the laboratory into a church.

Oh sure, big oil is the target de Jour but we need a new angle.

I'll work on a scapegoat but I'll need beer money interim.

LP- If nothing else it shows some disagreement that the press is generally no likely to print on the subject.

Shoprat- Like Scientology, it's a junk religion.

Mark- Show up in the Chicago/Milwaukee corridor and I'll buy the beer.

Tim, Superior has better waves.
