Bush Must Withdraw the Nomination!

President Bush must withdraw his nomination. Not for the US Supreme Court, but instead Ben Bernanke for the job of Chairman of the Federal reserve.

If you are wondering why I say this, it's very easy. Click on the title, it's a link to an editorial in the New York Times praising the choice of Bernanke. If the Times is happy about it, there is just no way this can be a good, conservative choice for the job.

Though if you need an alternate neo-liberal opinion on the subject, you can go to the Washington Post, who's columnist
E.J. Dionne Jr. is concerned that Bush has appointed an 'idealogue' to the job. I'm not as concerned with the Post column because it came from one writer, unlike the Times, which was an editorial board column.

Besides, Dionne would call
Paul Krugman a partisan neo-con hack if Bush had appointed him. For those who don't know, Krugman was a respected economist until he became a noted partisan neo-liberal hack.
