Since Ascan Asked....

I posted "Where I've Been" in the US earlier today. And, since Ascan asked in the comments, I went back and found the link to do places I've visited in the world. I'm not sure that the map is accurate though, since I know I crossed the equator to get to Ecuador, but it doesn't look that far south on the map.

I might do that, but it would only stretch over a few States in the southeast!

You weren't with us either of the times the ship went to Acapulco? Perhaps my memory is fading, but it was very late January or early February, 1997...right before I got married. The last port visit before San Diego during Crack-Pac '96/7. Perhaps I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Oops, I thought I clicked mexico. I went to Acapulco both times. Plus a trip to Cabo for Sammy Hagar's birthday party. That was wild.

Yeah, you did go to Acapolco, CP. I know when you guys stopped there after the Crack Pack, I hitched a ride.

Hi Bob...very interesting life you've lived. I've been to most of those places. It's where I learned what a great place the world can be.

I have only been to 47 states, Mexico, and Canada, but Ecuador is right down there near Panama. You have it marked. :)

How are you? Well, I pray. Yes, I said. I pray. Anyone have a problem with that? Hmm? (lol)

Do you remember an old saying, "I said it, I meant it, and I'm here to represent it!"? hehehe. Have a great day!

Chi-Town... Yup, Probably a good thing you were so young, or we could have gotten in real trouble there :)

Mike, yes it can be. It can be pretty lousy too, just depends on where you end up, and when.

Rosemary, guess I should take a quick trip up to the North East just so I can say I've hit as many states as you :) And you can pray for me when ever you like. Rumor has it I need all the help I can get.

Hey, Summer, You, Me, Acapolco? Lol, this summer any trouble I could get into in Mexico I could do legally here anyways.

Ahh, remember the days. My old room-mate hitched that same ride from Acapulco. I'm assuming he took my rack since I flew off the second day there since I couldn't wait to see my soon-to-be-bride. I remember the guys heckling me about not buying my ticket in Panama from SATO because they thought the flight was so cheap. Within five minutes of stepping foot in Acapulco, I had a ticket for the same flight for about half of what they paid.

My map doesn't include Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia or Egypt. However, it does include Germany, Turkey, the UK and Australia. I don't count Egypt, although I went through the Suez (twice), I never set foot on it. That being said, Africa and Antartica are the only continents I've never walked on, and the Arctic Ocean is the only Ocean I haven't sailed on, although we couldn't have been very far off when I was in the North Sea.

It is a wonderful world, many places I'd love to return to...like Barcelona, Napoli (Naples), Acapulco, Phuket (maybe not, too much trouble now), etc. Then there are a handful of places I could hope to never visit again, like Salinas, Ecuador or Antalya, Turkey.

Ascan, there are lots of places I'd like to go back to, but you can take Naples off my list. 4 days there were quite enough, thanks.

Egypt I'd like to get to again, since I was only there a few hours and didn't get to see much.
