Despicable

If those on the left wonder about the motives of the "liberal leaders" of the Democratic party, go no further than this report at JudicialWatch.Org.

James Taranto, at Opinion Journal's "Best of the Web" points out Bill Clinton's first act in office, to push RU-486.

If that were all there was to the report, it probably wouldn't bother me, but when you read the language you'll understand (hopefully) the cynicism some of us feel when the left say's what they are doing is because they understand us better.
......
There have been 30 million abortions in this country since Roe v. Wade. Think of all the poverty, crime and misery...and then add 30 million unwanted babies to the scenario. We lost a lot of ground during the Reagan-Bush religious orgy. We don't have a lot of time left. . . .

The biblical exhortation to "be fruitful and multiply" was directed toward a small tribe, surrounded by enemies. We are long past that. Our survival depends upon our developing a population where everyone contributes. We don't need more cannon fodder. We don't need more parishioners. We don't need more cheap labor. We don't need more poor babies.
Remember, this is a letter to Bill Clinton, which helped spur him to his first official act in office.

It's that "concern for the poor" that should have folks wondering. The truth is, while the left panders the vote of the poor, and claims they are in their corner, this disgusting report, and the sentiment behind it should show the disdain the "intellectual elite" actually feel for the folks they claim to be for.

Robosquirrel has a much longer, and more eloquent take on this. Thanks for the link to the article!

One of the most ignored facts about liberal organizations is that Planned Parenthood was formed to prevent blacks and other undesirables from reproducing and it is working well from their point of view.

Abortion will be around as long as birth control methods are imperfect. PP is a good thing for poor women, some of whom can barely take care of the children they ALREADY have. I'd rather my tax dollars pay for their abortion than 18 years of welfare.

Wow!!! Despicable is too light of a word. It just makes me ill. I also wish more people knew what a racist Margaret Sanger was who started planned parenthood. She wanted to abort poor babies and black babies to weed them out of society. Despicable is right!!

I see Paula agrees with the point made by shoprat (that he doesn't agree with).

Death before poverty?
Does that mean it's ok to go kill the homeless, too?

Liberals scare me...

Great post, CP.

Nope cuz I don't define "person" as a clump of cells smaller than a plum. I guess you're anti-war, huh? (Oh, that's different.) Next.

Peter Singer would be proud of you, Paula.

Paula, how can you even compare killing an unborn baby to killing terrorists who would murder every one of us?
The baby hasn't done anything -- war between men is one thing; killing a defenseless child is another.

As for your post, CP, well, obviously this shows Bill Clinton's true colors. "Safe, legal and rare"? Right. That will never happen as long as there's zero accountability and unlimited abortion.

So we've only killed terrorists, huh? No one else?? I guess the little kids in the car that didn't stop at a checkpoint were terrorists, too.

Peter Singer wouldn't like me at all, hon. Do some more reading.

Paula makes a good point about abortion, which I didn't touch on the post. The reason I didn't is as much as her reasoning makes sense, it's the disingenuous "choice" argument that I was pointing to.

As much as certain groups want us to believe that the reason they support abortion is "choice", the letters from the Clinton library show it to be otherwise.

On the subject of terrorists, no the kids probably weren't terrrorists. Then again, I got to live with carrying out the dead and dying when we used the theory of don't load the guns so you don't scare folks in Beruit. While neither system is perfect, I'll take one that allows me to protect myself when folks run the checkpoint, instead of picking up bodies.

No defenseless children ever die in a "war between men" (never mind that we have women serving in the military now, have had for the longest time).

What planet are you people from?

Like Paula and PP (I agree totally with her point), I support methadome clinics as an alternative to crime and the spread of HIV. Maybe that will make a few right-wing heads explode here as well. If it doesn't, have a look at this:
